Hi, I'm Dalya

Sometimes things happen in life that make us question everything. Other times, we're reminded that life is short and time is precious, calling us to figure out what's really important.

My path into counselling was shaped by a turbulent childhood and, later, a sudden and devastating loss in adulthood - grief changing me in unexpected ways. My search for meaning and the slow work of piecing life back together has led me to rebuild a life anchored in values, integrity, and a commitment to making a difference.

My journey has asked me to re-evaluate my purpose more than once and reinforced a deep respect for the courage it takes to be different, to seek support, or to keep going when it feels like life is breaking you down. I know first-hand the importance of presence, compassion, and belief grounded in our own capacity to heal or recover, especially when this feels far away or impossible.

Professional training has given me the tools to combine lived experience with evidence-based practice. I believe in meeting people where they are, walking alongside them and holding hope even when they can't yet hold it for themselves. This allows me to support others in a way that is both understanding and effective.

I know what it means to feel 'broken' by life and the quiet power of rebuilding who you truly are.

This is where we begin together - not fixing, not sugar-coating, but looking honestly at what is real and finding a way forward. I am living proof that no matter the challenge or circumstances, we can rise above them and come out stronger and more resilient on the other side.

Our experiences have shaped who we are today, but they do not need to define us or hold us back. True resilience comes from what we have been through and finding the courage and strength to keep going despite fear, overwhelm, or a temporary lack of direction.

Our greatest strength is not in never falling, but in finding new ways to rise again when we do.

I'm so glad you found me, and I look forward to taking the next step with you...

With gratitude

Dalya
